Victoria Mutual Group Home + Auto Expo 2019

Own your Happiness was the tagline for the Victoria Mutual Group (VMBS) Home + Auto Expo.

The VMBS Home & Auto Expo was held on March 23-24, 2019 in Kingston at their Half-Way Tree location and introduced clients to the options available for purchasing a Home and owning a Car. Clients had the option of signing up based on their interest, namely Home or Auto. We here at Haute People were interested in a Home so we signed up for those sessions and was sure to take the necessary documents + funds to start that account.

At this event, iSave was introduced as a dedicated savings account where a commitment to saving a certain amount of money for a period of time which will aid in the deposit for the home. VMBS firmly believes that every Jamaican can have financial freedom and eventually own a home through savings, having a goal with a timeline and making sacrifices and staying as true to that goal as possible.

Here is some quick info on the iSave Account

  • Preferred mortgage rates
  • Up to 97% financing
  • 50%discount on valuations
  • 10% discount on first year's insurance premium

The event hosted by Christopher "Johnny" Daley offered a light-hearted, fun day that featured a Design your Space segment sponsored by Singer where volunteers designed space with props and decor items where the audience chose the winner.  There were also booths like National, Housing Trust, Automotive Art, Singer, and Hawkeye, just to name a few who offered advice on all the other elements that complimented ownership of a car and a home.

Owning a home (or a car) is somewhat daunting for most Jamaicans as they feel they will never be in the position to own either of those. Thanks to VMBS, they have thought of a way to make the impossible seem possible with a dedicated savings plan.

If you are interested in learning the steps you can take to own a home or a car, be sure to check out the next event on March 30, 2019 at their Fairview location in Montego Bay.

We have a small favor to ask. People are reading the Haute Lifestyle than ever since our recent placement in the South Florida Blogger Awards but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. We do not have investors and everything Blog related is funded out of pocket– we want to keep our journalism as fun and open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Our article takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective and voices matter – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who reads our posts, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure.
