Manifest - Episode #2 Recap

According to NBC, over 23 million people tuned into the premiere of Manifest last week -- this was no surprise as it's a really great show with an even better storyline. We all love a great psychological thriller with a science fiction twist!

On Episode 2

All the survivors were detained at the airport after all mysteriously "showing up" when the plane suddenly explodes. Grace still struggles to tell Ben about her "secret lover" while Michaela returns to work and faces her former bestie who is now married to her ex (current) Fiance, Jared.

A mysterious melody begins to play that only Ben can hear which leads him to another survivor on the flight the lone "Jamaican" on the flight with a terrible accent (really terrible) whose son is seemingly wrongfully accused of robbing a jewelry store.

As the episode progresses we see Grace struggling with being honest with Ben about her new lover after being caught by Michaela. Cal while undergoing treatment draws the shadow of a man in his family portrait for which Ben becomes curious. It then transitions to a woman in a parking garage about to get into her car when a mysterious shadow appears. Poor Michaela is going through an emotional roller coaster as she battles with the loss of her fiance, mother and best friend and goes to a psychologist to-help her cope.

Ben gets that "weird" feeling in his "head" which leads him to nab yet another bad guy who turns out to be the Jamaican man's son who was wrongfully accused. The episode ends with issues being resolved, Micahela forgives her former best friend and Ben forgives Grace. The young man who was wrongfully accused was set free which is a happy moment. Jared looks at the ring he initially bought for Michaela.

One of the survivors who decided to-be bold and speaks out and was shot.. the same one from the parking garage where the mysterious figure appeared. We are thinking this might have something to do with Grace's mystery man who could have possibly used her to get close to the family as they knew the survivors would come back.

This episode was not as exciting as the premiere, but we are glad all the boring emotional stuff came out the way so we can focus on the forthcoming episodes.
