How to get up again --After life throws you a major curve ball

Life throws us hella major curveballs and if you are not too careful, they can hit you right in the face and knock you off your feet --figuratively of course.

Today, we'll again be straying from our usual Fashion and Lifestyle topics to bring you something more substantial.

August is the month of rebirth and we are here to share a few tips on how to get up again when life throws you a major curveball.

Just Relax

One of my greatest challenges in life is that I don't know how to relax! I'm always thinking about the issues at hand and the need to quickly resolve them. I'm always anxious and fussy and a total mess to be around when all I need to do is relax -- what's done is done and there is no way I can un-do them.

Be Accountable

No, I'm not saying to play the blame and totally blame yourself for everything but -- there might be a chance that whatever happened you probably saw signs and ignored them. In my case, with my car breaking down two days straight, I've always seen a red flashing light on the dashboard and completely ignored it. If I took it into account and pointed it out to the professional, the car would definitely have not broken down since it was a simple fix.

Ask for Help

I'm so guilty at this -- I never ask for help! If death is at my door and I'm to ask another person for help, I'd probably die. In my dilemma, while talking to my sister and expressing my frustration I immediately blurted out "But I have no one to help me, it's just me" her reply was of course "There is always somebody to help, how would you know if you've ever asked". In my time of need I needed the help of a mechanic and an electrician and when I asked them to help, I was up and running again for Saturday. Just ASK FOR HELP!

Sometimes all we need is a break -- just walk away, take some time to just chill and rest. My breaks come in the form of traveling overseas, I love traveling as I find it therapeutic. Meeting new people, embracing a new culture and just getting away from it all. You will find that once you are away from the problem, you will find new ways to tackle the situation.

Try Again

Rome was never, ever built in a day and you best believe that. Ever since the age of 13 when my life changed drastically (story coming soon) I've been knocked down so many times by horrible people and horrible situations. If I could tell you where I get this strength and desire to always get back up, I'd be lying. All I can say it's by the grace of God -- that is what truly drives me. I know that I have to keep going because I have a purpose that Is greater than myself. Find something to believe in and if you have no one to motivate you, motivate yourself! Whatever you do, just keep trying! It will all be worth it in the end.

Hello There 😃😃
We have a small favor to ask. People are reading the Haute Lifestyle than ever since our recent placement in the South Florida Blogger Awards but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. We do not have investors and everything Blog related is funded out of pocket– we want to keep our journalism as fun and open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Our article takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective and voices matter – because it might well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who reads our posts, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure.
