Drake's "In My Feelings" VIDEO Got us in OUR Feelings

For the past month you could not go anywhere without hearing "Kiki do you love me"  and before you know it this song by Drake birthed the "In my Feelings Challenge" started by comedian Shiggy that saw everyone dancing from kids to grandmas and of course celebs like Will Smith.

We all wanted to know who was this "Kiki" that got Drake all "In his feelings" and when the video would drop! The long wait is over! Drake dropped the video earlier today via Vevo on YouTube and upon writing this Blog post, already has over 8 million views.

The video opens with an ode to the 90's and early 2000's that saw Drake in a Jersey (totally 90's/2000's vibe) on the lawn of a posh mansion paying tribute to a mix between a Contemporary R&B Hip-Hop/Rap version of the movie "Say Something" that starred John Cusack and Diane Court and a modern day Romeo and Juliet. Kiki is played by VH1/MTV Royalty LaLa Vaquez (formerly Anthony) who emerged from her bedroom window with a high side ponytail, colorful nails, and 90's make-up. His attempts to woo the elusive Kiki are thwarted by the arrival of her mom played by Phylicia Rashad who tells yells at him saying:

"Get your Jordans off my lawn -- and when you leave don't forget to go".
As the video progresses, Drake dusted off his acting chops and digs into his deeper "Jimmy" (Degrassi) and makes us believe he is really a lovesick "hip-hop" guy. He also makes mention of several names throughout the video namely KB, JT, and Resha that begs us to wonder if Drake is shading former love interests by throwing namechecks in the song.

Also throughout the video, Drake busts a few moves except the original "Shiggy" dance created by the comedian himself .. shocking! We also saw several celebrity cameos + videos (and in the credits) including Comedian Shiggy, City Girls "Yung Miami" and "Big Freedia", Will Smith, Ciara, Dj Khaled, the Fab Five from Netflix's Queer Eye and Backpack Kid -Russell Horning.

The video finally ends with Drake waking up from a dream and we were all shook! All in all -- "In my feelings" is a feel-good vibe and definitely a summer hit and one of the biggest dance crazes this year.

In my Feelings was shot in New Orleans by Karena Evans and is track 21 on the Scorpion Album.

How do you like the video?
