7 ways to incorporate the marble trend in your wedding

There are many reasons why marble is so trendy this year. It’s a versatile stone that you can pair with almost anything: silver, gold, copper, the grass, the sky—seriously, think it and it probably goes with marble. With a clean simple design, it’s easy to dress up or down, while also bringing a modern flair to any event, like say a wedding!

Whether you’d like a marble-made wedding or want to add only a few simple touches, I’ve put together some ways in which you can transform your wedding into a marble dream!

Pro-tip: consider faux or DIY faux-marble designs to save some of your hard-earned money! Don’t forget about that honeymoon.

  1. All the signs!

From the welcome sign that greets your guests to the bar signs and table numbers, there are many ways to include marble here.
The signs don’t even have to be real marble, it can be paper stock!
One of my favorite ideas is the
escort card because it can double as a favor—it’s a two for one deal! What’s better than that? And, not only does it look like you spent a pretty penny on it, but it’s personalized, adding a special touch your guest will ‘awe’ all over!

 2. Use the marble as a prop!
Yes, pretty things can have functional purposes too. Crazy, right? Because of its accommodating design, marble can be doubled as a decoration and a prop.
It can hang behind you when you say ‘I do,’ adding an elegant and modern backdrop to your vows. Afterward, it can be used as the
backdrop in your photo booth as guests hold up ‘I’m with her’ signs and fake mustaches. It’ll continue your marble theme for months to come…on their refrigerator.

Another place to use marble is the aisle runner, paving the way towards your forever. Sounds so romantic, right?

3. Make marble your centerpiece!
Whether it’s full-on slabs of marble or subtle candle holders and planters, it adds a sparkle to any table. Even the table you put your ‘outcasts’ guests at!
Plus, you can place these smaller decorations around the
venue, like at the bar or in the bathroom.  And, don’t forget, you can reuse them in your newlywed home! Adding more bang for your buck.

           4. Dine with marble!
The plates or chargers, glasses, and silverware can all be marble or faux-marble. The fun part is that they don’t have to be one-size fits all. They can have different geometric shapes and styles, adding a little extra something to the table without being too much.

          5. Or just make the whole table marble!
You can rent faux-marble tables or get a table runner. As I’ve mentioned, it can be                              accompanied by a variety of different accents, making for a glamorous yet minimalist look.

           6. Eat the marble!
Well, not literally, but you can have a whole dessert table dedicated to marble. Check out this inspired dessert table! Your cake or cake pop can look marble! Or perhaps, you prefer cupcakes or popsicles? What about cookies? Literally, anything your sweet-tooth desires, it can be designed to look like a piece of marble. How cool!

           7. Marble meets Paper!
Design your invitations and stamps with a marble design! And while you’re at it, why not the coasters and napkins your guest will be using at the bar and during cocktail hour? These are small details, but as I’ve been told, it’s the small details that really ‘wow’ your guests.

With so many options, I think the marble trend might be here to stay. Good luck planning the marble wedding of your dreams!
