Whoever said yellow is the new black was seriously not mistaking -- Yellow is Haute for Summer 2018! Think that bright, energizing color tracksuit Uma Thurman wore in Kill Bill Volume 1 back in 2003.
This color is the perfect transition color from Spring to Summer and was surprisingly deemed the color of the summer due to its complementary color, purple which is also popular this season. Since this shade of color is so bright, it could easily look cheap and a bit loud if not worn correctly. We here at The Haute Lifestyle have come up with a few cool ways to wear this color.
Be a Monochromatic Babe
This color is so beautiful and bright that it can be worn by itself! One cool thing you can do is wear the color from head to toe. You can pair yellow pants with a yellow cami, nude heels and gold jewelry and accessories. This gives off a clean, expensive, chic St. Tropez vacation vibe.
Mix it up just a little
Keep in mind the initial cool is to look chic-- as mentioned earlier, this color looks great with a lighter shade of purples like lilac or prints and patterns like polka dots.
Dainty Jewelry + Accessories Only
This bright color speaks volumes without even saying a word -- every girl loves a great statement piece however it is not necessary in this case. This summer, it's all about simple, sweet and dainty jewelry pieces similiar to those from Alex & Ani and a handful of Etsy shops.
Just be Bold with it
People are always quite a skeptic about adding bright seasonal colors to their wardrobe as they feel they might not get a ton of wear out of it, but why not be bold enough to try something new? Personally, I'm not a fan of bright bold colors, but this season I added a single yellow top and I've loved it ever since! It literally brings so much light to my wardrobe and makes me excited every time I see it.
