Is It Time for a Spring Beauty Preparation - You bet it is!

Spring is almost around the corner, and if you’re one of those people who simply can’t wait for it to come –
welcome to the club! There are so many great things this season brings – fantastic weather is just one of
them – but it can also be a bit tricky, especially when it comes to your skin. You’ve probably already noticed
that it can become a bit problematic whenever seasons change, but don’t worry at all – there are ways to
prevent that! Just stay with us and keep on reading, because we have four amazing tips on how to make that
happen. Check them out and get ready for spring like a boss!

Replace your regular face creams with soothing gels

The first thing you should do is to switch from your regular face creams to gel-like textures, which is particularly
important because your skin won’t need such heavy products any longer. As the seasons change, the levels of
humidity and temperatures will also change, and that’s why your skin will require completely different formulas.
Of course, your skin is highly likely to become much drier due to heating and winter weather, so it craves
deep hydration and thick creams. On the other hand, you won’t need those during spring, so be sure you
switch to soothing gels rich in hyaluronic acid and vitamin C, and your skin will instantly feel much better.

Switch from face oils to lightweight water-based serums

The same goes for your trusty face oils, which probably were your number one choice when talking about cold
winter months. These can be true lifesavers when the weather is extremely harsh, but you know what? You
won’t need them at all during spring for several reasons. First of all, these can be quite heavy for your skin,
as they can clog your pores and cause potential issues like breakouts. This is particularly true when it comes to
people with oily skin, so make sure you skip them and opt for water-based serums instead. There are a lot of
quality cosmeceutical skin care products that are really lightweight, like serums with retinol and vitamin E,
so give them a try and you certainly won’t make a mistake.

Ditch your full coverage foundation and embrace a medium coverage one

The next step of your spring preparation should include transitioning from a full coverage foundation to a
medium coverage one, which is, again, the matter of the weather and higher temperatures typical of spring.
Trust us, you really don’t want to start sweating with your heavy-duty foundation on for two simple reasons.
Firstly, the combination of sweat and foundation can be extremely bad for your complexion, since it can block
your pores and wreak havoc on your face. Secondly, foundation that runs down your face (and neck) looks
awfully unattractive, so don’t let that happen and opt for a less cakey product. Even a tinted moisturizer will do
the trick!

Try lighter moisturizers with an SPF instead of thick lotions

When it comes to your body, we’re almost 100 percent sure that a thick lotion was your absolute favorite
during winter, but the truth is that your skin won’t need it as soon as spring kicks in. Creams and lotions infused
with natural oils are a perfect choice when you’re desperate for something extra nourishing, but guess what?
Such products will feel extremely sticky on the skin with the warmer weather, and it won’t be able to absorb
them properly as it was the case during winter. So, switch to a lighter moisturizer with SPF which will hydrate
your skin and protect it from the harmful sun’s rays at the same time.

Each of these four steps is more than essential when talking about your spring beauty preparations, so make
sure you don’t skip any of them in order to see the best results. Once you manage to accomplish that, you’ll get
prepared for the upcoming season like a true pro!
