Girl Talk: Dealing with Sweaty Armpits

Hi Guys! As you can see by the heading above "Girl Talk" is back. If you are new to the Blog "Girl Talk" is where we discuss all those girly/woman issues ranging from relationships to period cramps. Today, we'll be looking at an issue that is very obvious and also embarrassing , Sweaty Armpits. I'm talking about the kind of sweat that seeps through your clothing and leaves that unsightly blob of sweat on your clothes for all to see.

As humans and of course women we all sweat ( except for those people who were born without sweat glands ) with that being said some of us will sweat more than others. Before you can know how to deal with an issue, you have to know the causes.

Causes of Sweaty Armpits

Hyperhidrosis as it is called medically usually starts in adolescence or young adulthood. It is a condition in which the sweat glands become over active and produce an excess amount of sweat. While this condition is not life threatening it can lead to many Social issues like: Challenges with Romantic Relationships , Missing out on Social Gatherings, Fear of Exercising and so on.

See a Doctor : People with "sweaty armpits" usually start seeing signs when they are in their teens and probably ignore them because they think its a normal part of the change.  See a Doctor as soon as you feel this excessive sweating becomes too much for you to handle.

Anti-Antiperspirant: There are several over the counter antiperspirants that you can purchase from a Pharmacy like Secret Clinical Strength and other brands. These are moderately price and is within every budget based on the Brand you choose. There are also other brands that can be prescribed by a Doctor for people who sweat through "The Over the Counter" brands.

Natural Remedies: Mix Baking Soda and water together to from a paste, put this under your arms and leave for 25 minutes then wipe. This will give better results if your arms are shaved each time you do it. This should be done for a week and will serve as a conditioning treatment to teach your body to dry up sweat. You then have the option to go au naturale or use Deodorant afterwards.
