Haute Event: The Annual Liguanea Art Festival

So on Sunday after having Dimsum at Dragon Court Restaurant a couple of friends and I decided to check out the The Annual Liguanea Art Festival being held at the Chinese Benevolent Association and it was awesome. I just wanted to share with you guys some of the highlights.
This festival of art exists to showcase the work of up and coming Jamaican/Caribbean based sculptors, painters, wood artists and photographers and is a space where the public can  learn more about and partake in what Jamaican Art has to offer.

The main types of artwork being showcased at the festival showed a wide expanse of the artistic kaleidoscope including abstract works, portraits, landscapes and realistic images of day to day life in Jamaica both in the present and past.

Some of the artist featured included Howard Moo-Young, Carol Hamilton-Small, Bibi Chong , Ronald Sullivan and  Inansi. Group entities also showcased historical and artistic work including the Embassy of Japan and the Dream BG Foundation
