Love NOT Likes Blogger Trip



Love Not Likes was the first blogger trip of its kind in Jamaica as 18 bloggers and photographers traveled across Portland parish to take photos, videos and the occasional “boomerang” for their social media fans.

The trip took the group to several iconic locations including the majestic Trident Castle - a favorite vacation spot of the rich and famous including Beyonce, Jay-Z and Cardi B to name a few, Monkey Island which was once owned by the Tiffany family and Frenchman’s Cove - the first all-inclusive hotel in the world.

Love Not Likes Conceptualiser, Kesi Gardner said; “I was inspired to create the Love not Likes trip because I felt that micro-influencers and bloggers don’t get as much attention as other bloggers with a larger following. We want to help change that.

She continued; “Love Not Likes brings together bloggers who have a passion for Jamaica and want to share that love with their followers by capturing interesting and relevant content, particularly around travel and lifestyle. What separates us from the other influencers is that our community is intimate, so our followers are invested in learning about our lives.”


Kesi also noted that a number of companies came on board make sure the bloggers had all the trip essentials which made the trip even more fun and memorable.

Love Not Likes’ major sponsor, TCP Tings, provided the group with some of their traveling essentials like tote bags of various types and sizes (including their signature ‘One Bag Ah Beach Tings’ beach bags), to make the trip all the more fun and exciting. Other sponsors included Sunfactory who provided Ipanema flip flops, CPJ Limited was the official refreshment sponsor, providing  LifeSpan spring water and Glinter sparkling water. The Label Snob provided custom mugs with the bloggers' social media handles. Luxuryja provided Jamaican flag round towels, Worthy Park provided their line of alcohol from Apple vodka to rum cream, Herboo Botanicals provided their unique body oil, National Bakery provided snacks, Sharmac Graphics printed fans, Harmony Tours offered transportation and Digicel offered free credit and data plan for the trip.

Love Not Likes was a collaboration between Luxuryja and their partners Ion Communications, Machel Witter of MdwMedia and Peter Clarke of Rocket Visions.


The bloggers involved were Sue-Tanya McHourgh, Ornella Green of astoldbynella.com, Lucienne Antonio from youtravellucie.com, Diedre McLeod of www.diedreinwanderland.com, Ronnia Cherry from www.7ammag.com and Jhunelle Jhuridieni from www.simplylocal.life. Other creatives, Brittany Roberts, Tashi Grant (@tashi_grant), Rachael Campbell, (@livelikerara) Kemar Royal(@livelikekem), Vanessa Hartley (@pinkpeachhh) and Jehmiel Shrouder (@justdojehmz) were also a part of the trip.
