How To Have The Best Sleep Ever

Hemingway said it best! Sleep is definitely one of the ways I re-charge my mind to be an effective Blogger and person on a whole. Sleep is so important that I have a few dedicated items that help my nightly slumber to be the very best! One of those items is, of course, a nice cozy and comfortable bed that will ensure the best sleep. Below are a few of my other favorite things to help me get the best sleep every night:



A Comfy Pillow



About 2 weeks ago, I realized I had to prop my neck at an angle or double up on pillows and it was that moment I realized I needed new pillows! Did you know that quality pillows are expensive? I usually get my pillows made so I can decide just how firm I want them but I literally had no time so I headed to store. I got my self a lovely pair of sleep perfect pillows and I was able to sleep comfortably.



Sleep Mask



I was completely against this as I'm totally against sleeping in the dark but I decided to try them and I was pleasantly surprised! I slept so well and it was not as dark as I thought It would be. The mask is soft, silky and sweat proof and I slept without any disturbances.



Night-time Tea


As a Jamaican, tea is a huge part of my culture which dates back to being colonized by the English who are importers of Tea. I have to have tea every night! I don't care if it's healthy or not ... I must have tea! My tea of choice is either Ginger-Mint which helps to settle my stomach after dinner or Chamomile which is great for calm and handling a stressful day. The warmth of the tea on the inside makes me feel great and ready for bed.



Aromatherapy Pillow Mist



I am a bit of a bougie sleeper and this pillow mist awakens my sense of smell and puts me to sleep a lot faster. I purchased the Lavender Vanilla scent from Bath and Body works and it makes me feel as if I'm in a Spa or a really fancy Hotel. It can be used on your pillows, sheets and even your sleep-wear --If you have problems falling asleep I highly recommend this as it really works.



A Beautiful Bedroom



I am one of those people who can never sleep well unless I have a clean and beautiful room. I came across a beautiful website called Havenly where they offer online interior designs by professionals for just about every room of your home. Based on your lifestyle you might not have time to design the home of your dreams so this will be a great resource. See below for how the process works and see above for an example of a bedroom. My style is a mix of contemporary, bohemian and classic. (Bedroom not on site)


I personally prefer a cotton sheet and a comfy blanket rather than a comforter as comforters can be quite bulky and heavy and impede my sleep!
