There are over 156 million Blogs on the Internet and with this large number one can easily get overwhelmed. We are in the Digital Age where almost everything can be found online and almost everyone is an expert on one area or the other. However it is possible to stand out from the crowd and make a name for yourself. Follow our tips below and you will well be on your way.
Create Great Quality Content: Ladies and gents .. If you want the secret to successful blogging this is it! Spend time and truly research , write and market your Blog Posts. I've seen so many Blogs that have a great Design and amazing Photos but when I start reading , it's like one of those girls on Reality T.V who use "OMG" , "lovedove" , "lovies" and so many other off words that completely throw off the content.
Quality Imagery: This is where I fall down big time but I'm working on it thanks to a few Photographers I've worked with in the past month. Once you have the quality content , then comes quality imagery. Think about it .. we are attracted to beautiful things and as they say a picture is worth a 1000 words. Great imagery is also good for Social Media and is what people will be most likely to click.
Consistency: You have to have a schedule when you put out Blog Posts so your readers can be constantly engaged. I cannot tell you when and how this can be as we all have different lifestyles and different things we do on a daily basis. If you are a daily Blogger be sure to keep that up as your audience will always be expecting a post each day.
Authenticity: People like to know that what they are reading is true and they can connect with you. As a Lifestyle Blogger this can be a bit tricky as you cover a number of different areas. I have found that when I share real life experiences and vulnerability ( without being overbearing ) is when people connect with me the most. Remember , there is a thin line between too much information and not enough information ... once you are able to find that balance people will respect you.
Wear your Brand: If your Budget allows it print Shirts , Caps , Key rings and whatever you can afford. I printed T-shirts and wear them when I go out on the road and sometimes at events. When people see "Haute People" they know it's the Blog and when they see it on Social Media they can identify it and say "Yes , I've seen it around".
Thought Leadership: Here's a golden nugget you did not expect! Your goal here so be an Industry Expert. Spend time to research and gather as much information in the Lifestyle Niche as possible. There are several courses , books and even workshops that you can check out to be an expert in your area. The thing about Blogging and the world is that it changes and you need to be up to date with what is going on in that area.
