The Truth About Blogging

Wednesday, June 29, 2016

  1. 1.
    a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.

Blogs are so popular and celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Tisdale have made a living from them and in some ways "retire from acting". Today's post is sort of a subtle rant and information , keep reading if this is something that interests you.

A Blog is a great way to make money on the side or as full-time income once you put in the work. The average person without "Blogging Technology" might take a few years before they see good income. I've heard stories of people who started earning from their Blogs as early as one month!

If you are looking to make a living off your Blog you will need to put in a lot of work! The Content has to be great , you need amazing Pictures , you need to market the blog and most of all ... you need to be consistent! When I just started out I had 10 posts ( in the back ) that I published to sort of test the waters. This helped me to know if Blogging is what I really want to do and it helped me to know who my audience was.

One thing I tell people to stay away from is stealing content! As it is often said "there is nothing new under the Sun" ... this does not mean for you to go ahead and steal content. I've done a few freelance gigs where people took content and asked me to re-write in my own words and even that I found to be kinda shady.

Blogging is not about dressing up and taking Editorial like Photos then posting on Instagram ... there is a lot of time that goes into that one Photo. These include putting an outfit together , putting on makeup , actually taking the photo and then posting on Instagram. There are many Bloggers who have mastered the skill of being Instagram and are able to work with Brands to post pictures from anywhere between $75 - $10,000

You are able to make a lot of money Blogging whether long-term or short term provided that you put in the work!

I've launched a Blog Course with lots on information for only $15 and when you enter Promo Code HAUTE102 , You get 5% off. The price of the course is set so that Newbie Bloggers and those who are looking to start can have it at a price suited for their budget.

Create . Defy . Slay

Tuesday, June 28, 2016
My name is "Rane" and I'm weird!

My weirdness has lead me to creating my very own brand that I'm constantly working on called "Haute People". Here at Haute People , I think of it as a collective effort ...passion project with myself and you the People. There could be no Haute People .. without the people.

One of the things I want you guys to understand is that not everyone was cut out for the corporate desk jobs ... some of us are Creative Thinkers , Abstract Thinkers and just overall weird. We don't quite fit into society's definition of normal and that's ok! Are we happy that we don't fit in? We're too cool to even notice ... we march to the beat of our own drums which often times we are the only ones can hear lol.

Being creative in today's society is a big deal as more Brands are realizing that If they want to grow by appealing to a wider audience , the cookie cutter ways won't work. They want us to be the Creative force behind their Brands. The world is our Oyster .. everyday is a new adventure and challenge and we accept it with arms wide open.

Today , I want you to embrace your weird by simply using the mantra " Create . Defy . Slay "

Romans 12:6
We have different gifts according to the grace given us. If someone's gift is prophecy, let him use it in proportion to his faith;
