Influencer Marketing for Dummies

It is not secret we are living in the Digital Age and if you are not able to speak the Online Language and know how to engage Influencers , you and your Business will be at a standstill for 2016.  I received Influencer Marketing for Dummies from Clever Girls Collective for the purpose of review.


I actually saw the book on a popular website and was hoping to get it since I'm a Blogger. Influencer Marketing for Dummies was written collectively by Kristy Sammis, Cat Lincoln and Stefania Pomponi with Jenny Ng, Edita Gassmann Rodriguez, and Judy Zhou all of which have to do with either finding Clever Girls Collective or have leadership roles in the company.  "An influencer is an individual usually on Social or Digital Media who have a large and basically Influence the way people feel about products , services , trends and so on". According to the book , Influencer Marketing is the art and science of engaging people who are influential online to share brand messaging with their audiences in the form of sponsored content.


The thing I like the most about this book is the fact that its a reference which means you don't have to read the book from back to front but only the chapters you find interesting or most relevant to you.  I read the first 5 chapters , which were all easy reads. I would describe the information as condensed , it's short and simple enough for anyone to understand and its not verbose and overwhelming. The First 5 chapters are important if you are looking to get background information on Influencer Marketing and the steps to take when seeking an Influencer to work for your brand. I liked that there were current examples of successful influeners who have made a name for themselves on their respective platforms. I say current because I've come across a few books that give names of people from a few years ago.  All the relevant terms and processes of Influencer Marketing are discussed and highlighted and one that I breezed across was the Sales Funnel which is something everyone should know about who plan to do Business Online.


The chapter that stood out to me the most as a Blogger was Chapter 20 or the final chapter. If you have been Blogging for a few years and looking for more resources for your Blog, this chapter is boss. I came across so many Blogger and Influencer Networks and even applied to a few of them.Because the book was targeted at people who are looking to work with Influeners , I was able to look at things from their perspective and work on areas of my Blog that were lacking.


Finally , I must thank the writers and publishers of the book for the note pages at the back of the book! It was more than enough and I was able to jot down important points as I read the book. At $18.87 this Book is worth every penny if you are looking to go seriously into Influencer Marketing. I hope there will be an audio version of the book so that I can listen to it on the go.

I highly recommend this book to any Individual or Business who has an interest in Influencer
Marketing.
