Mission Catwalk All Stars : Episode 1

Monday, September 28, 2015

Last Saturday was the premiere of Mission Catwalk All Stars.

CHALLENGE:         The designers were asked to design a garment inspired by a piece from a past challenge that defines their style and that will show their growth as a designer.
WINNER:                  Ryan Chan
AGE:                          28

COUNTRY:              Trinidad & Tobago

"I drew inspiration from a dress from a previous mission on season two. My fabric of choice was a black and gold tie dye spandex. This was used to recreate the dress from the previous mission with a silhouette that was more glamorous; black lace was used to keep the design soft but still edgy. Being the first mission, I was full of energy and ready to show the judges my growth. I was the first designer to finish sewing which never happens.  I was probably worried for two minutes, until I saw my model Sydia in the dress. I was like "oh! Ok b!*ch we got this!!”

ELIMINATED DESIGNER:   Ayanna Dixon (Jamaica)
