Haute People Back to School Week : Back To School Make-Up

Thursday, September 3, 2015
One more day until Friday!! Hooray! I know Back to School Week can be overwhelming so I hope these posts are making things a little better. Today It's all about make-up! These tips are best suited for College/University Students and some High School ( if it's allowed ).

Keep it Fresh , Light & Simple!

Please be reminded you are in school and your goal is to learn and come out with wealth of information and ultimately a Degree. Be sure to stick with your daytime colors like Browns and Plums.  If you wish , you can invest in a long wear Foundation or a really great tinted moisturizer.  I would say pick one area of the face and let that be the focus. If you have an early class , want to make a great impression but is pressed for time, focus on the eyes. Be sure to spend time grooming those Brows and apply eyeliner and Mascara. This could take anywhere between 15 - 20 minutes depending on your level of expertise or lack thereof.

If you are going for a nice natural glow .. just strobe! All you need is highlighter placed in the areas of the face where light hits naturally and you are good to go. On days when you have on Campus events , you can go extra by adding lashes and go for darker colors. You want to look different going out to events than you do during the days. Always remember to have chap-stick or lip gloss for those cold classrooms where the A.C is turnt all the way up and will leave you lips looking dry.

What are some of your go-to Make-Up looks for school?

  1. I don't wear makeup myself, but I think as long as it's tasteful, girls should be allowed to wear it to school.

  10. I'm definitely starting to like the strobing method. Having lip gloss on hand makes a lot of sense. I totally remember how cold they make those rooms.

  16. I wear less make up now than I did when I first started way back in middle school but I think my skin is a lot happier for it! I had no clue what I was doing and I always had this wicked foundation line... Oops!!
