ABOUT THE PAGEANT:

The Miss Waterhouse Pageant was created to give young ladies the opportunity to express themselves, to build self-confidence, showcase their talents and inspire others to be a part of the journey.  Waterhouse is a vibrant community located in St. Andrew filled with hope, potential and talent. Living in an inner city should not make one feel vulnerable, hopeless or even exempted from resources that the masses have access to, but it should give individuals the opportunity to rise above their circumstances.  Gold Medal Olympian Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce is a native of the Community and a true testament to this as she was able to rise above the challenges and make a name for herself worldwide.

This year, the winner will receive $120,000.00 in Scholarship as well as a fast track to the Miss United Nations Pageant. She is also required to give back in Charity Service where the focus this year is the Rush Worth Basic School in Water House.   The winner will serve as the Ambassador for the community and lobby for additional funding for repairs that are needed at the Rush Worth Basic School. 2ndPlace will receive a $75,000.00 Scholarship and 3rd Place will receive a $30,000.00 Scholarship.
