Microwavable Armpits??

Tuesday, August 11, 2015
It is no secret that we live in a crazy world filled with equally crazy people and trends! The latest wackiest trend saw women growing out their armpits and now they are microwaving them!

Mirasmooth is a new cutting edge treatment that removes armpit hair of all colors and sizes. I know that from the title you are probably thinking like myself that there is noway this can be safe .. but! It has received clearance from the FDA and is already available in select Markets.

The Device looks like a Lazer Gun and transmits energy similar to that of a microwave.

"It's the same wavelength but the delivery method, depth of penetration or range, and safety profile are totally different," explains Dr. Snehal P. Amin, a board certified dermatologic surgeon.

The way it works is , the Device heats up deep under the skin where all the hair and sweat glands are located and it removes it! This treatment has been giving the old Razor Shave a run for the money since it has been estimated that over 40,000 treatments have been successfully performed.

As it relates to pain .. expect mild to moderate pain depending on your threshold for pain of course.

Is this something you would try?

  2. I'm not sure I would try it. I'd like to find out more and maybe hear some experiences. If there's one thing I seriously hate though it's armpit hair! Ugh. - Jeanine

  8. I don't have to worry too much about underarm hair. I am fair haired and have seemed to have lost most of my underarm hair as I have gotten older. But I would have tried this in a second years ago. Sounds interesting for sure.

  20. This is kinda wacky sounding, but then again so are many of the hair-removal techniques! If it works, I'd give it a whirl! Sounds interesting!
