How to be Organized

Tuesday, July 21, 2015
I have this belief that once things are organized you will feel so much better! Have you ever seen "Hoarders : Buried Alive" with all those people who have junk they won't let go of? Just imagine if we were all like that .. the world will be a Hot Mess ( literally ) here are a few ways you can stay organized.

De-Clutter : This is the 1st step and should be a no-brainer. Get rid of all the things you don't need. Place them in piles : THROW OUT , KEEP & DONATE. Once you do this you will notice how fast a mountain turns into a molehill.

Everything has a place : If you know certain things are to be kept on a dresser .. make sure each time they are used, they go back on the dresser. The quickest way to be unorganized is to have things thrown all over a room. Imagine how much quicker getting dressed in the morning would be if your clothes were neatly hung instead of a pile on the floor.

Document It: There is a "Calendar" trend going on where people are buying expensive Planners and going crazy. If you are looking to skip that trend , get a simple notebook and write down the days and dates each week of what you have to do. You could use various colors of Markers , Pens and Stickers to keep things in place.

Store It: This kind of goes back to the 2nd point but not really. The way we keep our spaces depends on the amount of space we have and as such.. if you have limited spaces, then you have to be creative. Do you have too much earrings , an old scarf and a hanger? make a quick DIY Jewelry storage by placing the scarf on the hanger then place the earrings on and voila! Organized in less than a minute.

Clean It: I once knew a girl who never cleaned ! There was so much chaos in her space which lead her to always being late because she had to dig through piles to find a single item. Be sure to spare some time to clean your space.

What are some ways you stay organized?
