Behind the Seams Jamaican Hip Hop Artiste Dizzy

Thursday, May 21, 2015
This Artiste describes his sound as "experimental"  and has his sights set on taking Jamaican Music to the forefront of the international scene. He is a 24 year old multi- talented Artiste and Producer looking to get his Music to those who will accept it. Today , Haute People goes "Behind the Seams" with Jamaican Hip Hop Artiste Dizzy.

H.P:What can fans expect from your performance at Pay Attention?
DIZZY: At the risk of being cliche I'd say everyone can expect a peek into my mind right now. When I'm performing I try to construct my set thematically so there's a natural flow in my thoughts and interactions with the audience.

H.P: How would you describe your sound?
DIZZY:  I don't want to define it too rigidly because I try to incorporate as many of my influences as I can. My catalog outside of artistry is pretty wide too. As a producer, I gravitate to acts that challenge me and some of that energy usually ends up finding its way into my vocals. I guess it wouldn't be a stretch to say the sound is "experimental."

H.P: What Projects are you working on?
DIZZY: I am currently finishing up an EP called "S.O.S.: Public Address", that's pretty much the only project I'm focusing on as a solo artist. I'm also working on a few collaborative projects. One of those is an EDM instrumental EP that  I'm producing with DJ ReBell my brother from another mother over in England. There'll be a couple more following those but i don't want to give too much away at this point.

H.P: How long have you been doing Hip Hop professionally?
DIZZY: In my opinion I've been serious about this since I picked it up at age 11. Be that as it may, in material terms, I've only been investing myself in it completely for about 7 years now and I've made most of my progress in the last 5.

H.P: Where can we find your music?
DIZZY: I put out my music predominantly on SoundCloud so you can go to https://soundcloud.com/dizzy-the-ill-one and you can follow me on twitter @dizzy_theillone I post everything related to my music there.
