Jamaican Model a Finalist at Top Model Worldwide Competition

Thursday, February 19, 2015
Jamaican models have been making a name for themselves at the International Level; walking in major Fashion Shows for highly sought after Designers and gracing the covers of coveted Magazines. It was recently discovered that a Jamaican Model, Lisa Wallace will be a finalist in the Top Model World Competition, Haute People caught up with the Model and was able to snag a quick Interview.

H.P: How did you hear about Top Model Worldwide UK?
L.W: I was browsing the net, looking for prospective modelling agencies in the United Kingdom, when I came across "Top Model Worldwide" UK.

H.P: What did you do to prepare for the competition?
L.W: I'm still preparing for Top Model. The competition is in four (4) weeks. I do a 5k run every other morning, plus gym time, and I drink a lot of water daily to flush my system.

H.P: What would you say is the one thing that made you stand out the most?
L.W: I would have to say, my personality. I'm free- spirited at heart and I get along with almost everyone I interact with...

H.P: What is the most challenging thing you faced?
L.W: Modelling at age 29. Being in an industry where age is everything!... It's very challenging at times but I don't dwell on it. I feel and look like a 20 year old. Age is nothing but a number.

H.P: Any tips for young models entering the industry?
L.W: I would say: Make sure they have a backup plan in case modelling doesn't work out. It's a very glamorous field with many opportunities, but it requires hard work, dedication and perseverance to survive. If there is a passion for modelling, keep at it and never give up because this industry will either "make you or break you "

H.P: What are some of the prizes?
L.W: -Opportunity to walk at London fashion week.
-Children with cancer charity vote award.
- The main prizes will be confirmed at a later date.

H.P: Finish this sentence ...
L.W: I cannot live without my family. My dad has always been the driving force in my life. L.W: He's my rock and my role model.

  25. Be Original When applying to an agency, the best thing you can do is be yourself. If you try and make yourself look like David Beckham, Brad Pitt or whichever star seems to be on TV most this week, you won't get anywhere. model agency
