Birthday Reflection

Friday, February 13, 2015
It's my Birthday! The first thing I did was literally thank God for allowing me to see another year ( the day is still young ) This year I found that more young people lost their lives than the older people. That's kinda crazy and also made me really think about this life thing. Here is what I've come up with so far.

Life is Short:  You never really know when you will die .. but death is sure ( unless you are one of  "The Originals" or a Werewolf ) lol. We've all heard stories of people who just went too soon .. or "I can't believe he/she died I just spoke to them". I'd say, just try to learn and do as much as you can while you are here.

Just Relax! Said Everyone Always! I'm one of those people who get frantic for just about everything! Notice the exclamations?? Just relax , keep a positive mind and attitude and it usually works out. Not saying you should just lay there and leave yourself careless.

Less Friends are Better: If you are in your late 20's and still have a dozen people around you and wondering what they all think... Child! You need to go back to the drawing board. I've found that people rarely have your best interest at heart. All you need is a few good people who support you and you are good. Less drama.

You will have a few Regrets:Yes! There are things you wished you did when you had the chance. Those are the kind of things that causes a mind to wander. I'm the kind of person I don't mind trying stuff to remove that feeling of uncertainty. There has been tonssss of failures and there will be lots more! But as it is said .. all you really need is one Right.

Happiness is relative: Corny I know but its true... it depends on the person and what they want. It should not be determined by society. I equate happiness with success. Getting a Degree , getting a job , meeting a wonderful guy , falling in love , getting married and having Kids. There are others where happiness is having Kids ( without a job , qualification , ambition ) that's their happiness.Whatever makes you happy .. Do it! That's your truth

Thanks for the Birthday Wishes and Support :-)

  4. Happy birthday! Great time to reflect and I so agree with what you're thinking. About the need for fewer friends - I love the quote, "I'd rather have four quarters than 100 pennies." Yes!

  10. I agree with you about the friends thing. It is better to have a few close friends that you know you can depend on than a ton of friends who let you down.

  13. I live with the motto, try everything at least once. I keep hearing my kids say "YOLO" and while I hate hearing it, it's so true. You Only Live Once, so enjoy it while you can. Happy Birthday!
