5 Things Every Bride to be Needs

Tuesday, February 17, 2015
On February 22,2015 the Lush grounds of the Beautiful Hope Gardens in Kingston Jamaica will come to life with Wedding Spectacular. Wedding Spectacular is a Bridal Showcase where some of Jamaica's Top Bridal Vendors and all other Businesses affiliated with Weddings come together for one Spectacular Event. In the Spirit of the Event, here are 5 things every Bride Needs.

A Great Maid Of Honor: Most Brides will use a Best Friend or close family member ... It's important that the person you choose knows you to the core and understands she is obligated to you for those few months. I would recommend getting a person who is in good financial standing as being a Maid of Honor is more than a title, you will be planning various Events and making sure all the "i's" are dotted.

To Meet the In-Laws: Yes! You need to meet them! There are too many modern day relationships where both families meet during the Wedding Process. Though it is always said you marry the entire family! You still kinda need to meet them to see how you all mesh with each other. Now is a great time to discover who has a tick in the family and who's personalities clash. Can you imagine a family fight at your Wedding? Can you say embarrassing?

Brush Up on Some Skills: Whether It's Cooking , Cleaning or Baking ... you need to have at least one thing  you do well. I for example love to clean and make a house feel like a Home ... the Cooking Skills are coming on gradually. Remember , you will be with this person for a lifetime ( hopefully ) so you need to do stuff for your Husband.

A Wedding Planner: This can be an actual person or a Book where you write down plans for your Wedding. Planning a Wedding requires a lot of work , time and effort and can really take a toll on people. You need someone or something that serves as a guide to help you along the way. Remember , book everything well in advance as early as you can.

A Robe: This is a simple yet overlooked thing. A Robe is essential for your wedding day when you are getting your Hair and Make-Up done then have to slip in a Dress without messing any of that up. You can go the inexpensive route and get something for just the day .. or you can go the thoughtful route and get something more personalized for yourself and your Bridesmaids!

Wedding Spectacular takes place on Sunday February 22,2015 at Hope Gardens. The Event Starts at 2 p.m and goes until 9 P.m. Over 90 Exhibitors have been confirmed!

  10. Oh man, if I could do it over again, I would absolutely have a destination wedding. I did a totally DIY wedding and it was a lot of work. These are great ideas, I didn't have a robe and I really wish I would have gotten one for getting ready!

  15. May would have been 10 years since I've been married and I couldn't remember all the things a Bride-To-Be needs. I do know that I never liked my in-laws so it was a good thing I met them at the last minute.

  16. That last picture made me laugh. It's cute, and you def. need a robe so you don't muss up the dress!

  17. Great tips. I think you need to add a great group of ladies to stand with you. they were my support.

  18. Yes to the robe! Ha - that is the only thing I was missing - but I had so much else that was excellent. Every bride to be needs a lot of patience too. I am so tired of seeing these shows with these bridezillas! A wedding can be planned without all of that drama. Okay, there will be a little drama - but not to that extreme!

  21. Such a fantastic list! Thanks dear for sharing it. Pretty soon I am going to get married so I’ll keep all these things in mind while planning the wedding. Currently I am busy in finding best venues San Francisco for my garden themed wedding.
