The Products

I've been hearing a lot about The Macadamia Products and of course i wanted to try them for myself. First of all , these bottles are soooo pretty , i really like the color combo and the way they compliment each other . I think i will even make a vase from the shampoo bottle because of its oblong shape.

Macadamia Rejuvenating Shampoo

The Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo  is a moisturizing shampoo for all hair types and is excellent for dry damaged hair. It is available on the website for £3.99 compared to a Market Price of £4.20  from other places. Its not a very huge "traditional" bottle and comes in 10 oz. It gently cleanses whilst replenishing moisture and protects the hair from all the elements. First off let me say , my hair is in "transition" my hair is almost fully natural . I'm now doing "protective styling", i do the regular sewn in where my own hair is in corn rows then tracks sewn on top.  Anyway, i planned on going to the hair dresser this week so i planned on Pre-Washing my Hair at home. I got out my Macadamia Shampoo and followed the directions. As it says on the bottle.

  1. I rinsed my hair with warm water because it said to apply the product to wet hair
  2. I then worked it into a lather and massaged my scalp all the way down to the ends of my hair .
I don't know about anybody else but when my hair is really dirty , its takes a long time to get it to lather , usually after the second wash . This time i was pleasantly surprised when i saw my hair working with the shampoo and was lathering after the first rinse . I had soooo much product in my hair , various oils and serums and this product did an amazing job to remove all the oils without leaving it dry. I would say it works kinda like a Clarifying Shampoo with the way it removes all the oils and dirt and all the gunk. It left my hair feeling really "clean" and moisturized I almost forgot to tell you .... it smells amazing! If you are an avid reader of my blog , you would know that i am obsessed with nice smelling products ...lol . Usually with Natural Oils , they are lightly scented or have no scent at all . This has a very fruity "happy" scent .

The thing i like the most about this product is the texture. I would describe it as moderately thick , so you don't need a lot and that to me is important because this product is a bit on the pricey side when ( when you calculate it in Jamaican Dollars that is)  so if i get to use less of a products that has a lot of benefits , that's a pretty good deal.

Even though this product is "potent" , i did not like the fact that the bottle itself was not full . I would say it got started at the top line that says " Colour Safe" . I would think that a product of the magnitude would be all the way full and consumers would get their moneys worth.

Macadamia Natural Oil Moisturizing Rinse

The Macadamia Natural Oil Moisturizing Rinse is a 2 oz product that is ideal for all types of hair and is available on the Hairtrade website for £3.99 compared to the market price value of £4.20The product description says it is a Daily Moisturizing Rinse that de-tangles ,nourishes , moisturizes and protects. It leaves hair soft and manageable. As you can see , it is a small bottle , However! Like The Shampoo it is all about the texture . I deem this product "Small but Mighty". All you need is a little and your hair will be like new . I must admit i did not understand how to use this product or why i should use it daily . I used it after i cleansed my hair with the Rejuvenating Shampoo. I actually took it along with me to the hair dresser on Saturday ( along with the shampoo) just to see how people would respond to it and of course because i didn't know how to use it . So after my hair was shampooed i asked the hairdresser to use this in my hair to see how my hair would respond to it . Like it says on the bottle :
  1. After shampooing , she worked it into my wet hair from roots to tips
  2. Left it in for about 35 seconds then rinsed it thoroughly
I usually dread this part of the "hair process" because my hair always gets tangled and it hurts so badly when its being combed through.Today however , the tangling was minimal even my hair dresser was amazed . The best part was there was a lady sitting in the station beside me and she asked " What is that product you used in her hair ..it combs through so easy and it smells so nice , can i have some?" Of course i was thinking " No way lady buy your own" . But apart from that i can sincerely let you know that this product works . It's definitely "Haute" approved.

Both Products are :
  • Color Safe
  • Sulfate Free
  • Paraben Free
