Hyped Up About Mission Catwalk ! Day 2

This is day Two of my "Hyped up" about Mission Catwalk. Check out the designer profiles below.


RYAN BERKELEY – 23   GUYANA   
Ryan Berkley is a self-taught fashion designer and considers his designs to be ‘outside the box’ and is able to transform a simple fabric into a beautiful and unique design. Ryan has been designing for two years and has shown at Guyana Fashion week and was awarded designer of the year in 2011




RYAN CHAN – 25  TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
Ryan Chan is a self-taught fashion and jewelry designer who presents his designs as ‘Edgy Punk’. Ryan has been designing for thirteen (13) years and is inspired by music, nature and people. Ryan designs for international pageants and designs costumes for top Carnival bands in Trinidad & Tobago, Miami and Cayman.




KESIA ESTWICK – 21   BARBADOS   
Music is the main influence for Kesia Estwick. She has been designing for three (3) years and describes her work of Art as ‘Rocker Chic’. Kesia studied fashion at Barbados Community College and has shown her collection at Bridgetown Barbados Fashion Week-2010/2011 and Barbados Model Search-2008.




JANELLE FORDE – 23  T&T/BARBADOS  
Janelle Forde is a self-taught fashion designer and has shown her collection at Brooklyn Fashion Week and Barbados Fashion Week 2011. Janelle is able to mix colours, fabric and manage to bring out a sexy tropical look. Janelle is pursuing her Masters Degree in Development Statistics on the Barbados Fashion Industry.




KESHON HAWTHORNE  – 19   JAMAICA   
Keshon Hawthorne studied fashion at the Garmex HEART Academy and presented his designs at the Museum Fashion Showcase at Devon House. Keshon has only two years experience, is inspired by high fashion and describes his designs as ‘fierce’ and ‘tasteful’.




JANEL JOLLY – 27    JAMAICA    
Janel Jolly has been designing for three (3) years and her detailed, sophisticated designs has become a fashion staple for stylish women. Janel is inspired by anything that moves her. Janel studied fashion design at Edna Manley College and has shown her collection at Caribbean Fashion week 2010-2011. 




MARIA KING-BEADLY – 42   JAMAICA 
Maria King-Beadle studied fashion at Garmex HEART Academy and has over eight (8) years of experience in fashion design. Maria is inspired by various elements in her environment and her own experiences. Maria enjoys designing wedding gowns and outfits for the dance-hall.







SHANNON KWONG – 23   TRINIDAD & TOBAGO 
Shannon Kwong studied fashion designing at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and was awarded best fashion design portfolio in her program. Shannon designs from whatever she sees, whether the texture of a fabric or just a phrase. Her look is simple and she sticks to her Trinidadian roots.





SHELLANE MCFARLANE – 22   JAMAICA    
Shellane McFarlane began sewing in High School and has been designing for eight (8) years. Shellane studied apparel design at the University of Technology Jamaica. Shellane adds a youthful touch to the competition while still injecting a unique, edgy and sophisticated look to her designs.





CRYSTAL POWELL – 25    JAMAICA     
Crystal Powell has been designing since she was ten (10) years old. Since then, Crystal has had no formal training but has now defined her style of fashion as elegant, light and free. She is inspired by many things including her personality.





NATALIE ROCHESTER 36    JAMAICA   
Natalie Rochester is a self-taught designer and is not new to the art of fashion with sixteen (16) years of experience. Natalie is able to design for every occasion but has a knack for bridal and formal wear. Natalie prides herself in being neat and detailed in her execution.




KERIN SCOTT – 24    BARBADOS    
Kerin Scott was born in Barbados and is inspired by Caribbean people, colours, their struggles and victories. Kerin is a self-taught designer and has been sewing for eight (8) years and designing for two (2) years. Kerin has been featured in JAE Magazine and is currently studying marketing at UWI. 




KIMBALLY SMITH – 35    JAMAICA 
Kimbally Smith is a self- taught designer and has been designing for nine (9) years. His designs stands out on the catwalk as "exquisite and elegant". Kimbally'scolors and materials.






REBECCA STIRM – 18     BELIZE    
Rebecca Stirm was born in Belize and has only four (4) years of fashion designing under her belt. Rebecca is a self-taught designer who attempted to study fashion at The Art Institute of Vancouver.  Rebecca is inspired by people, personalities and figures and describes her designs as simple with clean lines.




GREGORY WILLIAMS – 28    JAMAICA    
Gregory Williams is a self-taught designer who represents bold and powerful women who are leaders in their own way. Gregory has only been sewing for five (5) months but has been designing for three (3) years. Gregory has shown his collection at Style Week Jamaica and is the winner of the Saint International Avant Garde designer competition 2011.
